1. Determine why you need a Virtual Assistant:
Do you need someone to manage repetitive tasks that consume your time? Do you have overdue discovery or client files that require a full service set up. Do you need more time with your family? Has your office gotten large enough for administrative support, but not an in-house employee? Answering these questions will help to define what type of assistance you need.

2. Determine the priorities:
By taking a moment to determine your outstanding priorities allows you to navigate through your most pressing work, Contact us if you answered yes to any of the questions listed under number 1. We will help you complete  those tasks QUICKLY & EFFICIENTLY.

3. Clearly define the task you want your VA to accomplish
In a virtual environment you and your VA will rely on technology to maintain an open line of communication. Your assistant is not in the office and time is money for both of you. Clear, concise communication will alleviate any confusion regarding each parties expectations.

4. Provide specific guidelines and time lines for your tasks.
Guidelines and time lines are important time management tools used in any office. Such guidelines define task expectations between the VA and client. This encourages efficient turn around and maximizes your administrative dollar.

5. Communication, Communication, Communication...
Remember to inform your VA of the forms of communication you feel MOST comfortable with. Email, fax, virtual office etc. In turn, VA's and clients should always respond to one another. Communication is vital to insure tasks are completed according to specifications.

6. Manage your personal time wisely.
Try not to replace delegated tasks from your To Do List with more tasks. VA's alleviate the burden of administrative overload. Establish an efficient working relationship with your VA.  They are seasoned professionals with the expertise to help you streamline your repetitive duties to insure your office operates at maximum efficiency.
